Description
This package contains the reference data type “Amino acids” which contains the reference data for the 20 amino acids. It contains the amino acids: Glutamic Acid, Histidine, Leucine, Phenylalanine, Valine, Lysine, Glycine, Cysteine, Proline, Glutamine, Tryptophan, Asparagine, Arginine, Threonine, Serine, Isoleucine, Tyrosine, Alanine, Aspartic Acid and Methionine. For each amino acid, it includes the attributes: 1 letter abbreviation, 3 letter abbreviation, side chain class, side chain polarity, and molecular weight.
How to use the package
Amino acids will be available in the Reference Data module in SLIMS under reference data type “Amino acids” once the package is installed. Each of the amino acids listed above will be records in the Amino Acids reference data type.
Amino acids can be used in SLIMS for dynamic choice field values or result values. For example, they can be used to specify if a sample contains certain amino acids.
